All Safomasi rug designs can be tailored to your needs - adjust the scale of the pattern, change motifs, tassels or rework colours to suit your space perfectly. We also offer a fully bespoke rug service, collaborating with you from concept to creation and guiding you at every stage to advise on colours, materials and techniques to bring your idea to life.
Made to Measure Rugs
We can create custom rugs in any size or shape to suit your space. Whether you need a large area rug, a round design, or want to adapt one of our runners into a different format, we’ve got you covered. Just share your dimensions and we’ll get back to you with a tailored quote and design guidance.
Custom Colour Rugs
Looking to tweak colours or create a brand new colourway? It’s all possible. We can create custom rugs colour matched to any materials in your scheme including paint colours, fabric samples, artwork or pantone shades. We will create digital mock-ups to help you visualise different options and can work remotely over email or video call to pick from our palette of 1400 wool poms.
Custom Materials & Techniques
We also make custom rugs in different materials or techniques. A flatweave design can be hand tufted or hand knotted if you prefer the construction and texture of a plush rug, or we can use alternative materials such as recycled PET yarns (made from plastic bottles) to create a hard wearing outdoor rug, or bamboo silk to enhance design elements with a soft sheen.

Our goal is to make the custom rug process smooth, enjoyable, and deliver a bespoke rug you’ll love for years to come. From order confirmation to delivery the lead time for custom flatweave and hand tufted rugs is generally 10-14 weeks, with larger, more complicated designs and different constructions taking slightly longer.
